Hello! Welcome to my Weebly page! I have had a lot of fun creating it! This will be my 18th year in education!! I spent 14 wonderful years in the classroom teaching all grades 1st-4th and 8th and 9th grade Special Education. I am a Teach for America alumni and am proud to be involved with that organization. For four years, I was an administrator - first an assistant principal and then moving into the role of Special Education Coordinator. I have also worked as an Interim Principal at Ruth Fox. I LOVE teaching and can't wait to use all of the tricks that I've learned along the way to make this year my best year yet as an educator!!!
In addition to my love of teaching, I have a wonderful son and many hobbies! I love spending time playing with my 10-year old son. We enjoy reading together and playing with our black lab mix, Rosie! She is a bundle of energy and keeps us running all day long. We also have a very mischievous cat names Daffodil who is a bundle of energy! We love to travel and took the picture you see featured on my page when we visited Las Vegas. We have traveled to Australia, Tennessee, Florida, Las Vegas, and Seattle to name a few!! Last summer, I also had the amazing opportunity to travel to Kenya for the second summer in a row! This time I took Fletcher with me and we took a safari while we were there and children at an orphanage! It was a life-changing experience! We also love to swim and enjoy swimming in our community pool all summer long! My family is a huge priority in my life and I try to spend as much time with them as my busy schedule will allow!

I had the opportunity to visit and work with children who live at an orphanage in Kenya. This little boy LOVED to play a hand clapping game that I made up to help him learn how to count to 10. You can see the joy on his face! I was feeling just as much joy from getting to work with him as well!!!
